Secure Posting from Hotspot

I’ve used Logmein before and now that I have hosting again I’ll be taking my laptop with me to town and Logmein provides a secure 256 bit connection to my computer at home when I’m using a WiFi connection at a coffeehouse or random hotspot.

It couldn’t be easier to connect to the house remotely and just use my computer at home from the laptop in the field.

Logmein uses a number of security features before a connection is made and I recommend this service if you use a laptop in pubic places or just need to connect to your computer at home when you’re away.

There are other ways to connect but this adds an extra layer of security from public hotspots.

Late Night

I’m going to bed very soon.

Christmas day was nice and quite. Except for the three year old that was screaming occasionally. Dinner was quite good and we even had leftovers for a late night snack. Then today I had a little more turkey for dinner. I think thats about all the bird I will get this year. Next up is some Ham for New Years.

Got a little logo made up till I can do something better. Got signed up again with a few network sites. I already had accounts on Flickr and Twitter but never used them. I’ll try to put them to use and they are both new. You can catch little bits of daily life from my Twitter account. Its over on the right sidebar and I can send “Twits” from my phone for fun. Of course Flickr is a great photo site even though I uploaded photos to a few blogspot sites over the years.

This is starting to come together after a few auto installs of Wordpress. I usually install it myself but wanted to try out Fantastico on my host. Pretty cool but it took a few tries to get it just like I wanted it. No splash page after much debate. I like them but I guess most people don’t.

Action Movie Weekend /w BBQ

Caught two movies this weekend since it was a 4 day weekend and two of them were just me running around on the bus.

Death SEntenceRiding the bus with headphones on and great music playing is a treat but it does get a little crowded some days but its better than no bus at all.

So I saw two pretty violent movies that are not for the faint of heart.

It was like “Revenge Weekend” for films. Death Sentence was like Death Wish back in the Charles Bronson days withWar

some pretty crazy butt kicking or killing. Kevin Bacon was great in it but the plot was kind of impossible.

Then the movie War was with an action star Duo. Jet Li and Jason Statham whom I like when it comes to action movies. I went to both of these movies with low expectations and had an exciting time. Well worth my money but not everyone likes these types of movies.

Dragonfly and I also caught some Labor Day weekend BBQ but it wasn’t like the family makes. Great weekend.

Labor Day Weekend.

Nice day. Off of work by 1:00 PM and my Labor Day weekend has begun. Not anything really cool till Monday but its a 4 day weekend. Hope a decent movie is out this weekend. I went to see Superbad and it was a bomb. It looked funny and I must say that McLuvin was great but the rest of it sucked.
