GPS Jesus Helps Nab Thief
Posted on | December 28, 2007 |
Thieves stole two statues of the baby Jesus from a display in front of the Wellington Community Center In 2006 so this year the statue was fitted with a GPS device. Late Wednesday night the statue was stolen and after turning on the GPS they found the Baby Jesus in a house a short distance away.
Arrested was Danielle Santino, 18, of Lake Worth, Fla and she was charged with grand theft.
Sheriff’s Capt. Greg Richter was quoted saying the moral of the story is simple, “You don’t know what could have a GPS tracking device in it.”
If this girl had been reading Digg she would have known that it was “Bugged”.

Now that’s got to be humiliating! Put that firmly under in “dumb crook” file!
Even so, I think there may be a good message in there without stretching too far. And no, it’s not a message against thievery (although that’s worthy as well). I think we all need to steal time with Jesus more!

I was “stealing” some time early this morning.
Finally, stealing is not a crime.
